Targeted protein degradation using PROTACs® has become an important therapeutic strategy that has led to significant investments in the pharmaceutical industry. The modality holds considerable promise and a growing appreciation of the utility of PROTACs® as chemical probes for target identification and validation. As with other modalities, assuring the efficacy from the early stages of drug discovery is essential to prevent failure at later stages of clinical development.
